Agile Life Sciences Ltd is a Controller of the personal data you provide to us to enable us to carry out our research or your required services. We may collect the following categories of personal data from you:

  • Date of Birth
  • Pertinent medical history

3.     Why we need it

We need your personal data in order to carry out our research or to provide you with a testing service.  Should you fail to provide all required information, you may not be able to participate in our research activities or we may not be able to provide the testing service that you require.

According to the GDPR, we are required to specify the legal basis which we rely upon in order to process your personal information.  These include:

  • Necessary for entering into, or performing, a contract – in order to perform the services that you require of us, it will be necessary for us to process your personal data;
  • Necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests – either we, or a third party, need to process your personal data for our (or a third party’s) legitimate interests and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests;
  • Consent – we may ask for your consent to process your personal data in a particular way.

4.     What we do with it

Your personal data is processed by Agile Life Sciences Ltd which is located in the UK.  We may share your personal data with other parties to allow us to provide our services to you e.g. for test kit fulfillment purposes or for test kit delivery services.  These other parties then become data processors and have data protection policies and procedures in their own right.  We will only provide the data necessary for these parties to fulfill their part of the service delivery to you.  For example, we will only provide a delivery courier with your name and address details.  Other service providers that may have access to your data include those that provide website hosting, payment processing, and other partners that we work with to provide you with your required service.  However, we will never share your medical information with any other party.

5.     How long we keep it

When you place an order for a testing service through our website, we will maintain your personal data for our records unless you ask us to delete this information.  We will retain your information for no longer than is required to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations.  Your personal information and test results may be retained to further our research however, this will be anonymized so that this retained information cannot be associated with you.

6.     How we store it

We have security measures in place to ensure the security of the information we collect about you and use our reasonable endeavours to protect your personal data from unauthorised access or disclosure.  However, there is always risk involved with data security therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any data which is collected and stored but were a data breach to occur, we will take immediate action to minimise its effects.  Agile Life Sciences does not store any payment card details, these are stored by the payment processor.

7.     What are your rights?

Should you believe that any personal data we hold on you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the ability to request to see this information, rectify it or have it deleted.  You also have the right to withdraw consent for processing that is based on consent for example, you can ask us to take your details off mailing lists.   

In the event that you wish to complain about how we have handled your personal data, please contact us at info@agilelifesciences.com or in writing at Office 11, Block D, Co-Workz, Flintshire, CH1 4QL.  We will investigate your complaint and work with you to resolve the matter.

If you still feel that your personal data has not been handled appropriately according to the law, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk) and file a complaint with them however, please give us the opportunity to respond to your concerns.
